INTÉRPRETE: Vocalista y animador nacido como Pierino Ronald Como, en Mayo de 1912 en Pensylvannia, Estados Unidos, fallecido en Mayo de 2001 en Florida, Estados Unidos, activo en la música desde 1933 hasta 1998.
HISTORIA DE LA CANCIÓN: Simple Nº81 editado por el gran vocalista, y gran suceso para él. Uno más en su larga carrera. Canción inspirada en la pieza musical "España: Rapsodie Pour Orchestre or Rapsodie España", creada en 1883 por el francés Emmanuel Chabrier, de hecho utiliza la base melódica, fue compuesta por Al Hoffman y Dick Manning, producida por Joe Carlton y contó con la orquestación de Mitchell Ayres. Si bien el título de la canción parece no tener sentido, ya en 1928 el mítico Al Jonson había utilizado el término "Hot Diggity Dog" (Saltito de Perro Caliente) en la canción "There's a Rainbow 'Round My Shoulder" (Hay Un Arcoiris Sobre Mi Hombro). Llegó al tope en Estados Unidos y a nivel global, fue un éxito descomunal: alcanzó el Nº2 por 6 semanas no consecutivas entre Mayo y Junio de 1956, logrando más de 6 millones de copias, culminando entre los 11 simples más vendidos del año. Fue editado solamente en Shellac (10') y Simple (7').
